Abstinence

Just not having sex seems simple enough, but abstinence is a word that can mean very different things for different people. For abstinence to be truly successful, it requires a strong personal commitment. If you think you might change your mind, keep some condoms handy!

A person who is choosing to be abstinent gets to decide what that looks like to them. How long it lasts, what sexual activities are or are not included, and when it’s the right time to have sex are all things that each person decides on their own.
