Family Tree Clinic

Pride Everywhere

Family Tree Clinic is pleased to announce their first art exhibit – PRIDE Everywhere!  You are invited to attend the opening and reception, June 7, 6:00pm-9:00pm.

As a part of Pride month celebrations, we will dedicate our walls to multi-disciplinary LGBTQIA artists. The showcase will last the entirety of the month of June with an opening and reception June 7, 6:00pm-9:00pm. What empowers, heals, and inspires LGBTQIA community? What makes you laugh, smile, or feel peace? Visitors have from June 2, 2018 – July 6 during clinic hours to view the show.

WHY IS A CLINIC DOING AN ART SHOW?

Art engages, communicates, and heals.  We want people to feel welcome to our space, come and ask questions – to connect. Especially LGBTQ communities and communities of color who have been systematically left out of accessing health care – come on down to Family Tree! We will be offering informational clinic tours every 30 minutes during the show opening.

Aside from the showcased art, visitors can expect some music, light snacks, time to make affirmation cards or even get a 5-minute live portrait drawn of themselves or loved ones.

WHAT CAN VISITORS EXPECT?

Artists will represent LGBTQIA community through their identity as submitting artist, and/or their imagery. This multi-disciplinary show will include (and is not limited to) drawings, paintings, mixed-media, poetry, photography, video or zines.
